What does it look like to Work with Cross Creek Ag Solutions?

We are here to work with growers on developing a systematic approach to maintaining or expanding their farms. Our products and practices are uniquely geared to work together to create a program targeting crop and soil health. We believe that a healthy crop and soil with lots of microbial activity are the keys to attaining high yields and higher ROIs. Our team consists of twenty-plus years of experience in the seed industry, nearly ten years of experience in the biological industry, and ten-plus years of experience in the litter industry. We would love to partner with you and share what we have learned to benefit your farm.

The way we treat our growers sets us apart from most vendors in the industry. Relationships and education are our top priorities. We take the time to gather information about how you're currently practicing farming; we'll learn about your nitrogen management practices, planter setups, and foliar capabilities, and even look into your soil samples or previous tissue samples if you have them. Our team will discuss your goals and your budget and produce a custom-tailored program for your operation.

We aim to help your farm do one thing different from last year. We know that in farming you only get so many chances in a lifetime to get it right. We'll help you make every year better by developing a systematic approach that promotes success for your farm.

How Can I Enhance My Farm’s Soil Health Using Biological and Nutritional Products?

Improving soil health requires more than just adding nutrients—it involves supporting the biological activity and long-term structure of your soil. Biological and nutritional products can work together to build a more productive, resilient farming system.

1. Feed the Soil Biology

Biological products—such as microbial inoculants, enzymes, and soil conditioners—introduce or stimulate beneficial microorganisms that:

  • Break down organic matter

  • Release nutrients tied up in the soil

  • Improve root interactions and nutrient uptake

A healthy microbial population is essential for turning nutrients into forms your crops can actually use.

2. Pair Nutrients with Biology

Nutritional products (fertilizers, micronutrients, and amendments) are most effective when supported by active soil biology. Combining the two helps:

  • Increase nutrient efficiency

  • Reduce nutrient loss through leaching or runoff

  • Improve plant uptake, especially in stressed conditions

Instead of simply applying more fertilizer, you’re maximizing the value of what’s already there.

3. Build Organic Matter Over Time

Many biological programs work best alongside organic inputs such as manure, compost, or poultry litter. These materials:

  • Provide a food source for microbes

  • Improve soil structure and aggregation

  • Increase water-holding capacity

Over time, this leads to stronger, more resilient soils.

4. Improve Root Development and Plant Health

Certain biological and nutritional products are designed to enhance root growth and plant vigor. Stronger root systems allow crops to:

  • Access more nutrients and moisture

  • Better withstand drought and stress

  • Support higher yield potential

5. Target Soil Deficiencies with Precision

Using soil tests and tissue samples, you can apply the right combination of nutrients and biologicals where they’re needed most. This targeted approach:

  • Prevents over-application

  • Improves return on investment

  • Supports balanced soil fertility

6. Enhance Nutrient Cycling

Biological activity plays a key role in cycling nutrients like nitrogen and phosphorus. By increasing microbial diversity, you can:

  • Unlock tied-up nutrients in the soil

  • Reduce dependence on synthetic inputs

  • Maintain more consistent fertility year to year

7. Support Long-Term Soil Resilience

A balanced program of biological and nutritional products helps soils recover from stress, including weather extremes and intensive cropping. Healthier soils are:

  • More resistant to erosion

  • Better at managing moisture

  • More consistent in productivity across seasons

Bottom Line

By combining biological products with a well-managed nutritional program, you’re not just feeding your crops—you’re building a healthier soil system that supports stronger yields, improved efficiency, and long-term sustainability.
